Sri Lankan Airlines handles record cargo

NEW DELHI: Sri Lankan Airlines' cargo centre at the Bandarnaike international airport at Colombo handled an all-time high 1.47 lakh tonnes of cargo during last year and appears poised to better its cargo handling performance this year. In April, it launched a twice-weekly service to south Indian industrial city of Coimbatore. Sri Lankan Cargo operates regular freighter services to Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum and Male.
