All is well in Janata Dal (S), says Kumaraswamy

Staff Correspondent

CHITRADURGA: H.D. Kumaraswamy, working president of Janata Dal (Secular), has asked party workers not to worry about recent news reports about the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah.

Addressing a meeting of party workers at Parashurampura in Challakere taluk on Monday, he said that the party will disintegrate if party workers yield to the tactics of the Congress and assured the party workers that all is well in the party.

He said that the middlemen will be done away with and the party will urge the coalition Government to reserve Rs. 1 crore towards a revolving fund for farmers.

Farm loans

Mr. Kumaraswamy also said the party has urged the Government to waive the interest on farm loans and extend the deadline for regularising power connections to pumpsets. Jameer Ahmed Khan, newly elected Chamarajpet MLA, hoped that the party secures 150 seats in the next elections. Thippeswamy, former Minister, presided over the function.

The president of the district unit of the Janata Dal (S), D. Yashodhar; the former MP, Shashikumar; and S.K. Basavarajan, N.R. Laxmikanth, Gangadharappa, Raghunath, and M. Jayakumar, party leaders, spoke on the occasion.
