HYDERABAD: Eleven personswere killed and 29 others suffered injuries in separate road accidents in different parts of the State on Monday night and Tuesday. Four persons died while six others suffered injuries when an iron ore-laden lorry overturned at Kothapet under the Devanakonda police station limits in Kurnool district on Tuesday. Three of the victims were identified as Anjanamma, Pedda Triveni and Chinna Triveni.
Tragic trip
Tragedy struck a wedding party from Bangalore while it was returning from Tirumala after performing the marriage. The car in which the bride, groom and their family members were travelling collided with an RTC bus at Gandlapalli on the Chittoor-Bangalore National Highway. The groom, Prasantha Reddy (25), and his father, Doraswamy Reddy (60), died on the spot. In another accident on the highway at Palamner, an advocate, Chittibabu (35), was killed when an oncoming container vehicle hit his two-wheeler.
Women labourers killed
Two women labourers, Khadarbi (55), and Saidamma (36), were killed on the spot when a mango-laden tractor trailer, on which they were sitting, fell into a roadside ditch at Nadimpalle, near Ithepalle, 25 km from Tirupati, on Tuesday afternoon. Two persons were killed and 17 others injured when a Kakinada-bound private hi-tech bus coming from Hyderabad hit a tree near Ketanakonda in Krishna district on the National Highway No. 9, in the small hours of Tuesday. The victims were identified as Veera Rajamma (60), of Kirlampudi, and G.V. Prabhakar Rao (52), of Mandapeta.
