BELLARY: G.M. Pastapur, chairman of Gulbarga Electricity Supply Co. Consumers' Grievance Redressal Forum, has appealed to the consumers to file their complaints at the forum's headquarters in Gulbarga to get their grievances redressed. Addressing members of the Bellary District Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Tuesday, Mr. Pastapur said that the consumers should file their complaint in a prescribed form along with relevant documents. If the consumers are not happy with the forum's decision, they can appeal before the one-man commission at the State-level, he said. He said that the revision of power tariff was beyond the forum's jurisdiction.
Cordial relations
He also said that the forum was keen on ensuring a cordial relation between GESCOM and its consumers and had instructed the Managing Director and the Chief Engineer to organise many such meetings. He said that authorities have been requested to announce power cuts in advance, install separate feeder lines in industrial areas, and provide the prescribed complaint form in Kannada. K.M. Bakshi, member of the forum, said grievances could be redressed at the earliest, provided the consumers submit valid documents along with the complaint. K.N.
