VIJAYAWADA: Officials of Government General Hospital in the city have requested the District Medical and Health Officer and Vaidya Vidhana Parishad to send additional doctors to help maintain medical services, even as the junior doctors' strike reached the fifth day on Tuesday. The striking junior doctors, however, continued to attend emergency services, providing a respite to the hospital officials. About 20 junior doctors rendered their services in emergency wards on Tuesday.
