HYDERABAD: The CMD of Singareni Collieries Company Limited, R.H. Khwaja, has been adjudged the `Best Manager of the Year' for the financial year 2004-05 by the Hyderabad Management Association (HMA).

The award was presented to him at a function here on Monday. Notable among the PSU's achievements were achieving a best-ever production of 35.30 millions tonnes and surpassing its coal production targets for the third year in succession.
