BJP seeks action against MCH officials

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The city unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded action against officials of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) for not revoking the license of a private coaching foundation in Masab Tank despite expiry of the lease period.

In a press statement issued here on Tuesday, the city president, Venkataramani, and vice-president, B. Venkat Reddy, castigated the MCH for "allowing" the coaching foundation (functioning inside the Chacha Nehru Park, Masab Tank) to approach the court though their party had requested the MCH Commissioner and others to file a caveat before hand apprehending the same. The BJP alleged that the coaching foundation took 5,600 square yards of vacant land inside the park since 1992 on lease.
