BANGALORE: Burglars broke into a house in Ramamurthynagar on Monday and took away gold ornaments worth Rs. 1.35 lakh. Jagadish Reddy, who owns a medical shop in Banaswadi, said in a complaint to the police that he locked his house in Ramamurthynagar around 10 a.m. on Monday and went to his shop. When he returned around 1.30 p.m., he found that the house had been burgled. The thieves had entered the house by breaking open the main door. The Ramamurthynagar police have registered a case. In another incident reported from the same area, a youth entered a dentist's house on Monday and took away gold ornaments and silver articles, worth Rs. 75,000 in all. According to a complaint filed by Ramprasad, a youth entered the house around 5 a.m. on Monday and took the valuables. When he was fleeing, Dr. Ramprasad's mother saw him and raised an alarm. Dr. Ramprasad and his father came out and chased the youth. But they could not catch him. The Ramamurthynagar police have registered a case.
Job aspirants' complaint
About 50 unemployed youths were allegedly cheated of several thousand rupees by a person who promised them sepoy posts in the Indian Army, according to a complaint lodged by Mohammad Javed with the Cottonpet police. The police have taken up a case of cheating.
