New family cards to be distributed from July 2

Control room will be opened at Collectorate

ERODE: New family cards will be distributed from July 2, the Collector, D. Karthikeyan, said on Wednesday.

The cards can be collected from the respective ration shops on all Saturdays and Sundays in July. For each card, Rs. 5 would be charged. The head of the family should collect the new card between 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on the stipulated dates. Any other family member can also collect the card after obtaining an authorisation letter from the head of the family.

A control room will start functioning at the Collectorate from July 2, where details of new cards will be given. Public can also contact the control room over phone 0424 2260207. Those unable to collect the cards in July can collect it in August and September from the respective offices of the Taluk Supply Officer.
