MADURAI: Anthrax virus has claimed the lives of 15 bulls and cows and four sheep at Koduvilarpatti village in Theni district bordering Kerala in the last two days. A team of veterinary doctors have confirmed that the cattle had been struck by anthrax virus after detailed laboratory tests. Another team is giving vaccination to the animals. Doctors told presspersons here on Wednesday that the cattle died within six hours after being attacked by the virus.
