"POTA panel has become pliable"

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Central POTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) Review Committee has become "pliable" and is "weakening the fight against terrorism," the Bharatiya Janata Party said on Wednesday.

The committee had recommended the dropping of charges under the POTA against those accused in the Godhra case. More recently, it suggested that charges be dropped against the two accused in the Mumbai Gateway of India blast case. "We will see what the prosecution does now," BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said here.
