Wind River's new offerings

Aims at $30 m in revenue

HYDERABAD: The U.S.-based Wind River Systems, a leader in device software optimisation (DSO), announced the launch of two embedded Linux product offerings at a seminar organised here on `Wind River New Technology'.

Speaking to The Hindu on the occasion, Vinay Panchdhari, Field Application Engineer (FAE) Manager for Asia Pacific, said both products work on Linux as also Vx Works. Wind River Workbench is an integrated development environment (IDE) that supports end-to-end-device software development process. The other one is the Wind River Platform for Network Equipment, Linux Edition.

The company feels that there is big market in telecom, datacom, and automotive. It was confident of closing this year (December) with $30 million in revenues from the Asia Pacific Region, he said.
