ATF prices may go up

NEW DELHI: Indian Oil Corporation may raise aviation turbine fuel prices by 5 per cent or around Rs. 1,500 a kilolitre from July 1 in step with the firming up of cost of raw material (crude oil).

``The next change in ATF (jet fuel) prices is due from midnight of June 30 and July 1. We expect the prices to go up by around Rs. 1,500 a kilolitre for the domestic airlines,'' an IOC official said.

The hike for international airlines may be slightly lower than that as they do not have to pay local sales tax on the fuel.
