BELGAUM: Suhani Shah, the winner of the Best Magician Award in 1999 and the Jadoopari Award instituted by the All-India Magic Association, is presently here and has been performing magic shows at Kalamandir for a fortnight. A ninth standard student from Ahmedabad, Suhani is a child prodigy who obtained a diploma in computer science at the age of seven and completed an advanced computer course when she was just nine. Still in her teens, Suhani has given over 4,200 shows all over the country, besides the U.S. and Bangkok. Major channels including Star TV, Zee TV, Aajtak, Subah Savere, Ghumta Aina of Doordarshan, Sahara TV and CNN have telecast programmes on her. No wonder, the 14-year-old has entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's youngest professional magician. Even as her shows draw a full house, Suhani has been visiting schools and colleges and holding interactions with students. During such interactions, she also performs a few magic tricks. Her shows push the audience to the edge of their seats as she displays tricks such as cutting herself into two, flying through the air and making a car disappear. On Wednesday, she was at the R.P.D. College of Arts and Commerce for an interactive session where she was accorded a warm reception. She also performed a few magic tricks to enthral the students.
