RAICHUR: The Principal Sessions Judge, Basavantharaya Patil, rejected the anticipatory bail plea filed by three officials of the Rachur City Municipality in respect of criminal cases booked against them. It is alleged that Ramachandra Jadhav, first division clerk; Shakila Banu, accounts assistant; and Chandrakant, accounts superintendent at the accounts section of the municipality, had stolen cheque leaves and withdrawn Rs. 83,000 from the municipality's account in a bank in the city after forging the signatures of the City Municipal Commissioner. The Sadar Bazaar Police had registered criminal cases against the officials.
