UDUPI: The explosives seized by the Anti-naxalite Force and the Udupi district police during their encounter with suspected naxalites at Devarabalu in Udupi district on June 23 were powerful, according to police sources. They said here on Wednesday that the explosives were inspected by a team of ballistic experts from Bangalore which visited Devarabalu and it found that these were powerful. The grenades found with the suspected naxalites were also powerful. The team recovered pellets.
