BANGALORE: We all know that there is music for every mood. Now, students of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology have come up with clothes to suit every musical mood. Casual clothes such as basketball jersey with a dog chain and a pistol have been inspired by reggae and rap while psychedelic rock is reflected in shirts, knits and pants in bright pink, green and yellow. Satin, polyester and metallic pins have been used to give the clothes just that right look. Hip-hop has inspired clothes made of silk, organza and leather while techno has inspired clothes made of feathers and faux leather. Opera music is reflected in a collection that is relaxed in fit as well as comfortable. Called "Desolate Vibrations," corduroy, heavy cotton, satin, lace and jacquard have been used to create it. Our own ragas have inspired Indo-Western clothes made of Madhubani fabric and crepe silk. All these designs will be showcased at "Mixmasters 2005," the JD Annual Design Excellence Award function, to be held at Le Meridien on Sunday from 7.30 p.m.
