WARANGAL: The District Congress Committee (DCC) president, G. V. Ramana Reddy, threatened to initiate legal action against the senior TDP leader, Kadiam Srihari, for his personal remarks against the former. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy said Mr. Srihari had been making uncharitable remarks against the Congress leaders for long. Instead of coming out with positive criticism, the TDP leader had been making baseless allegations, he added. "Mr. Srihari appears to be in desperation. His own partymen are against him as he never bothered about them while he was Minister. Now, the party workers are not caring him. Only to prove his existence in the district, he had been making all kinds of allegations against us," the Congress leader contended. He asked Mr. Srihari to take part in the open discussions being organised by the Government over the irrigation projects rather taking the help of media. The TDP leader was of the opinion that except for him, none in the State knew anything about irrigation projects, he said. "Mr. Srihari even fooled his own party MLAs by feeding them wrong information and they miserably failed to substantiate their argument in the Assembly. Congress Ministers are experienced leaders and know more than the TDP leaders about projects and public issues," Mr. Reddy pointed out. The Congress leader advised Mr. Srihari to come clear regarding the corruption charges being faced by the ZP chairman, A. Baswa Reddy, and vice-chairman, S. Samma Rao.
