KARIMNAGAR: The Collector, C. Parthasarathi, instructed the agriculture officers and agriculture extension officers to ensure that all farmers of the rythu mithra groups were provided with loans under the bank linkage scheme at the earliest. At a meeting here on Wednesday, the Collector directed the officials to take all measures for the early release of financial assistance to farmers, so that they would take up agriculture with the arrival of monsoons. He said they had sanctioned five vermicompost units for every mandal in the district. He informed the authorities to educate the farmers on developing vermicompost and their use in fields for better crop yield. He also instructed the officials to keep a close watch on all the seed distribution companies and check the supply of spurious seeds and pesticides. He advised them to take the assistance of police and register cases against fake seed supplying companies.
