KOCHI: Fr. Jacob Mannaraprayil, Corepiscopa, who was removed from the post of manager of Thrikunnapuzha seminary, has alleged that the some vested interest groups which tried to mislead Catholicos of the East Baselius Mar Thoma Mathews II were responsible for the present problems related to the seminary. Fr. Mannaraprayil was removed from the post for "not discharging his duties properly." Catholicos Mathews II said that Fr. Mannaraprayil had filed a petition with the police without his consent when he sent the Catholicos-designate to the seminary on a special assignment last week. Fr. Mannaraprayil said he had received the Catholicos-designate with all respect when he visited the seminary. The decision of the managing committee that Poulose Mar Pachomios will continue as the Angamaly West Metropolitan was sabotaged, he alleged.
