High Court directive on advertisements issued by corporate colleges

Legal Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Commissioner, Information and Public Relations (I&PR), and other officers have been directed to take steps to see that the advertisements by corporate educational institutions making tall claims of students trained by them obtaining fabulous ranks in various entrance examinations should stop.

The Bench, comprising acting Chief Justice Bilal Nazki and Justice G. Chandraiah, was dealing with a writ petition filed by Veeraraghava Reddy Education Trust and a representation sent by a student who complained that he and other such students were being forced by their parents to obtain good ranks as shown in the advertisement.
