BANGALORE: On Sunday, Radio City 91 FM turns four. Reason enough for Bangalore's first private radio channel to launch a weeklong extravaganza to mark the event.
Chopper ride
Radio City fans will get to win a lot of prizes, including a free chopper ride over the city. The gala celebrations kick off on Thursday with exciting competitions and prizes. In "Who is Wishing Us," Bangaloreans will have to guess the voice of a celebrity attending the bash. The "Mega Fan Mega Prize" contest will test the listeners' knowledge of the radio station.
Prizes
Exciting prizes such as music systems, cycles, guitars, books, jewellery and dinner coupons will be given to the winners. On July 3, Radio Jockeys (RJs) of the channel will get out of the studio and bring you some live programming. Starting with "Good Morning Bangalore," Vasanthi will interact with Bangaloreans at places such as Vidhana Soudha, Cubbon Park and Airlines Hotel. Cindu will keep the momentum of the "Matinee Show" going with some talented children and play their requests while RJs Fiona and Darius will provide live entertainment at the Garuda Mall and the Forum with "Simply Adjust Madi" and "Route No. 91." "Every true-blue Bangalorean has music pulsating through his/her veins. The love for music cuts across genre and language barriers.
New slot
"Taking into consideration the listeners' love for international music, Radio City has also dedicated a slot to English music beginning from July 18," says Bhaskar Dutt, vice-president and station head, Bangalore.
