dated July 1, 1955: Dalai Lama back in Tibet

The Dalai Lama returned to Lhasa from Peking on June 29, the New China News Agency said in a dispatch from the Tibetan capital. He was accompanied by Li Chuch, Deputy Commander of the Headquarters of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Tibet. The Dalai Lama had gone to Peking to attend the first Chinese National People's Congress.
