Syndicate Bank's efforts to reduce NPAs
CHENNAI:
Syndicate Bank had taken several proactive measures to reduce non performing assets (NPA) and the net NPA has come down steadily to 1.59 per cent in 2005 from 4.29 in 2002, said R. Chandrasekar, General Manager (Recovery). Addressing presspersons on Thursday he said the aggressive recovery drive helped bring down the NPA level. The bank is coming out with five crore equity shares of Rs. 10 each under the public offer through a 100 per cent book-building route The issue will be open for bids/ subscriptions from July 7 to 13.
