What can make an ordinary person, a better person? What can make a better person, a perfect person? The answer lies in the reading of books. Book reading remains a habit for literate persons even after they withdrew themselves from the academic world. Though literacy percentage has increased considerably in the recent past, yet the sales of new books, periodicals, and newspapers have not reflected the same trend. The reason may be that an alternate to book reading for enriching one's information data bank has been made available in the form of TV media - cinema, Internet, etc. But, now many of the customers of TV, cinema, Internet understand that for a cursory glance or for getting superficial information, these media help them. Many times, these media stir up curiosity to know more on the subject. But, for real in-depth understanding of a subject or a concept, even now, the best source remains good books only. Every book fair caters to this need of book lovers and acts as a link to know the changing trend or metamorphosis going on in the thought process at that point of time on a particular subject. Neyveli Book Fair, in this context, contributes considerably for making available the new additions in the book market to the book lovers so that book reading habit spreads contagiously and one is induced to become a better person and if already so, to become a perfect person.
