BIJAPUR: The Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Women's University, Bijapur, Syeda Akhtar, on Wednesday denied allegations of corruption and nepotism levelled against her by the chief of the district unit Janata Dal (Secular) Youth Wing, Sangamesh Babaleshwar. Dr. Akhtar said she has decided to file a defamation suit against Mr. Babaleshwar and is consulting legal advisers. She said she has been hurt by the malicious campaign against her and that Mr. Babaleshwar has done so to gain publicity.
