IAF extends relief operations

NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Force on Thursday extended its flood relief operations to Gujarat besides continuing its relief operations in Himachal Pradesh.

At present two Mi-17s from Jamnagar have been pressed into operation in south Gujarat. Other Mi-17 and Mi-8 squadrons in South-Western Air Command are on a standby.

In Himachal Pradesh, the IAF has rescued 230 people since the commencement of operations.
