Thin-skinned party

The removal of Yashwant Sinha as BJP spokesperson will have little political consequence for the party or the Sangh Parivar. His statement that L.K. Advani should resign as Leader of the Opposition, in the wake of the Jinnah controversy, also seems to have done him in. The action against him only exposes the fact that the party is too thin-skinned to survive in the long run without repeated doses of communal fanaticism.
