ALAPPUZHA: : Ramesh Chennithala, KPCC president, has said that the LDF constituents other than the CPI(M) should make their stand clear on the issue of a possible expansion of the front in the coming days. Addressing a `Meet-the-Press' programme at Alappuzha Press Club on Friday, Mr. Chennithala said there was confusion in the LDF at present on the issue. Some constituents had expressed anxiety on the entry of new partners to the Front, he said. The CPI(M) was trying to befool other constituents, he said. He demanded that the LDF constituents take a bold stand on the issue. Mr. Chennithala said the KPCC office-bearers would be declared in two days. The new office-bearers would be selected on the basis of merit and not on group considerations, he said.
