LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey on Friday fixed July 7 as the next date for hearing on the petition filed by the BSP seeking disqualification of 13 MLAs who had defected and joined the ruling Samajwadi Party in Sepetmber 2003. Mr. Pandey resumed hearing on the petition after two BSP MLAs -- now Ministers in the State Government -- wrote to him asking him to dispose off the petitions filed against them under the Anti Defection Act. He gave five more days to the BSP to file its objections. --PTI
