Demonstration staged

Officers and employees of the four Public Sector General Insurance Companies staged a demonstration in front of the United India Insurance Company here condemning the move of the United India management to close/merge some of the offices in Coimbatore region.

Around 200 employees/officers, including 50 women, participated in the demonstration, according to a release.

Camp

The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity, Coimbatore Cosmo Junior Chamber, Coimbatore District Blindness Prevention Society and Moses Gnanabaranam Eye Hospital will organise an eye camp on the hospital premises on July 3.

Counselling

Avinashilingam Jan Shikshan Sansthan will offer free counselling on project report preparation at its extension centre on July 6, according to a release.

Representatives from U.K. University

Peter Ball from the Oxford Brookes University will conduct admission interviews in the Coimbatore office of Campus Abroad, an overseas education consultant, between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m on Saturday (July 2).

Course on pranic healing

The Tamil Nadu Foundation for Pranic Healing is organising a two-day course on pranic healing at Hotel Thai near Railway Station on Saturday and Sunday.

Master Chao Kok Sui of Philippines founded pranic healing for people suffering from everyday pressures of life and lifestyle complications.

The programme would be held from 2 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The participants would get books, cassettes and certificates, besides food and refreshments.
