HYDERABAD: The talks between the Cabinet sub-committee and the Joint Action Committee of APSRTC unions made little headway on Saturday with union leaders serving an ultimatum on the Government to redress their demands by Sunday evening or face strike. The Cabinet sub-committee comprising, S. Santosh Reddy, Konathala Ramakrishna and Jakkampudi Ramamohan Rao, on the other hand expressed inability to concede all demands. They appealed to the JAC to reconsider their decision. The JAC chairman, P. Ravindranath Reddy, said the sub-committee did not react to demands such as the reduction of MV tax and making it on par with Tamil Nadu, bringing down the sales tax on High Speed Diesel, reimbursement of loss of Rs. 1,350 crores to the corporation, curbing illicit operations and pay revision for the employees.
