Radar station to be set up at Ibrahimpatnam

Cloud-seeding operations to cover Hyderabad, three other districts
|
HYDERABAD:
A new radar station to monitor the cloud-seeding operations will be inaugurated at Ibrahimpatnam in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday by the Minister for Rain Shadow Area Development and Lift Irrigation, M. Mareppa.
As the rain bearing clouds are active over Medak, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts as well as the adjoining districts like Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda which received scanty rainfall, the Government has decided to shift the aircraft to Hyderabad for cloud-seeding operations. Mr. Mareppa was addressing a press meet here on Saturday.
