Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: An all-India National Integration Camp for Senior and Junior Division NCC Cadets from 15 directorates of the country was held recently at Adhiparasakthi Polytechnic College, Melmaruvathur.

The main aim of the NIC camp was to foster the spirit of national integration and solidarity among NCC cadets by providing them with opportunities of community living, working with cadets of other States and having a better understanding about each other's culture, traditions and habits. It also aimed at inculcating a sense of communal and religious harmony.

A cultural presentation marked the culmination of the camp on June 30. Prizes were distributed to the participating directorates for winning the competitions conducted during the camp. Lt. Col. M.S. Dash was the chief co-ordinator for the camp that was attended by 682 boys and girls.
