CHENNAI: The boy kicked out from school in Singapore goes on to get an honours degree MBA from the country's top university and becomes a millionaire at 26. His name is Adam Khoo. Bringing Khoo's winning strategies to India with a four-day teen empowerment programme are two Chennaiites settled in Singapore. Priya Dixit and Shanthi Chandrasekar of Lakshan Products announced the launch of `I am gifted, so are you' at a press conference on Monday. The programme will focus on personal mastery (which will allow students to set and achieve goals); family communication and relationship building (to bond with parents and other members at home); and academic excellence (where teens will learn to use both sides of the brain). Lakshan Products has tied up with Adam Khoo Learning Technologies, one of the largest public training companies in Singapore, to bring this programme to Chennai. The programme is priced between Rs. 12,000 and Rs.15,000, and will conclude with a half-day session with the parents of the teenagers. According to Ms. Chandrasekar, the programme uses advanced learning methods such as accelerated learning, multiple intelligence thinking and whole brain integration learning. The programme is designed for students in the age group of 13 to 18 years. Thousands of children and teenagers in Singapore and Malaysia have benefited from it, say the organisers. One such testimonial is a thank-you email to Adam Khoo from Shreyas who attended the `Superkids' programme: "I am the second in my class and I also have four A's. I am the top Indian in the school too!"
Preview programmes
Lakshan is setting up operations in India. Preview programmes are scheduled for July/August and the four-day final programme will be held in September/October. For more information contact Prabha Dixit at 98407 66024.
