Scholarships: House panel to visit Nalgonda

NALGONDA: The House Committee on scholarships headed by the Ramannapet MLA, Vuppunutala Purushottam Reddy, will visit Nalgonda district on July 6 and 7.

Mr. Reddy called for a meeting with the officials at 3 p.m. on July 6. Representatives of student unions and other interested parties will be allowed to submit their representations after 6 p.m, Mr. Reddy said on Saturday.

They acould take part in the meeting to express their views and also make suggestions with regard to irregularities in the distribution of scholarships among the students.

After inspecting a couple of educational institutions, the committee would leave for Nagarjunasagar.

Mr. Reddy called upon the student unions and others to avail themselves opportunity to make the grant of scholarships a foolproof exercise.

The other members of the House Committee included -- D. Sambaiah, J.Venkat Rao, P.Aruna, P.Venkat Reddy, K.Murali Mohan, P.Satyanarayana, M.Maheedhar Reddy, Swarna Sudhakar and V.Narender Reddy.
