Rasta roko

The activists of Communist Party of India-Marxist led by its leaders, S. Gangadhara Reddi, M.N. Patnaik and R. Nanaji Rao, staged a rasta roko at Asilametta junction on Saturday to protest against steep increase in the prices of petrol and diesel.

Dak and pension adalat

The 51st dak and pension adalat to hear complaints/grievances of the public and post office pensioners, relating to Visakhapatnam division, will be held on July 26 in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices. Complaints have to be sent in the name of the Senior Superintendent, P.V. Subba Rao, Head Post Office, Velampeta in the city by July 15.

Yoga camp

A month-long free yoga, meditation and personality development camp will be held at Dr. V.S. Krishna Government College, Maddilapalem, from Sunday. The topics to be covered include yogic management of common disorders, hypertension and diabetes and personality development.

BJP meet put off

The convention of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was scheduled to be held here on Sunday, has been deferred in view of the postponement of elections to the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, according to the BJP city president, B. Rangamohan Rao.
