BANGALORE: One person was killed and another was injured when a group assaulted them in Talaghatapura Police Station limits in Bangalore Rural district on Saturday night. The police said Imtiyaz (22), a lorry driver, and Prabha (18), a garment factory employee, were standing on Anjanapura-Kambatahalli Road when a group assaulted them. A police team, which was going on the same road, found the two bleeding. The policemen took Imtiyaz to a private hospital, where he was declared as brought dead. Prabha was admitted to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. The police are yet to know whether the two were robbed.
Arrested
The Cubbon Park police have arrested Lokanath (28) on the charge of burgling a house near Indian Institute of Science. HeIt was alleged that Loknath had taken away ornaments estimated at Rs. 2 lakhs from the house.
