KOCHI: A State-level convention of the Mahila Congress will be convened in Ernakulam on July 11, according to Mahila Congress State president Shanimol Usman. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Ms. Usman said that the convention was being convened as per the directive of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) in view of the elections to the local self-governing bodies. About 7,000 delegates from all over the State, including district, block and State-level office-bearers will attend the meeting. KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the convention. The venue of the meeting will be announced later, said Ms. Usman.
