KOCHI: G.C. Gopala Pillai took charge as the Managing Director of Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) on Monday. He succeeds S. Balan who was holding charge as Managing Director of FACT in addition to heading the Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers. Prior to joining FACT, Dr. Pillai headed the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) and has over 30 years of experience in various capacities, especially managing State PSUs. Employees under the various trade unions at FACT gave a reception to the new Managing Director and also formally bid farewell to the Mr. Balan.
