ALAPPUZHA: Twenty KSRTC buses were damaged in incidents of stone-throwing in the district on Monday night prior to the hartal called by Left parties. K. Johny, Alappuzha district transport officer of KSRTC, said two drivers suffered injuries in the violence. Of the 20 buses, seven belonged to various KSRTC depots in the district. The remaining 13 buses were ones that passed through the district on Monday night, he said. The miscreants also ripped the tyres of two mini-buses, he said. The drivers who suffered injuries are V.J. Antony of Thiruvananthapuram depot and P. Prasannan of Haripad depot. They have been admitted to the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital.
