NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old civil services aspirant was stabbed to death and his friend was seriously injured in a fight that broke out when the victims tried to save a security guard who was being beaten up by two residents at Model Town in North-West Delhi on Tuesday. The two businessmen men have been arrested. According to the police, a civil services aspirant, Dhananjay Tiwari, had gone to meet his younger brother, Rajkumar Tiwari, who lived in a rented accommodation at Gujranwala Colony in Model Town last night. Dhananjay's three friends -- Shiv Sharma (25), also a civil services aspirant, Ajit Singh and Siddhartha Vaswani -- were also with him in his Indica car. When they reached the colony, Dhananjay and his friends saw two people beating up the security guard, apparently for not opening the gate. They decided to intervene following which an argument broke out between Dhananjay and his friends and the men who were beating up the guard. Soon, things took a turn for the worse and one of the two men whipped out a knife and stabbed Dhananjay and Shiv. Both of them were rushed to Pentamed Hospital where Dhananjay was declared dead on arrival. Shiv was admitted to the I CU. The two assailantshave been arrested.
