Letters to the Editor
All the political parties have started playing the blame game. The BJP is saying the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh Government are accountable for the attack. The Centre says it passed on intelligence to the State Government regarding militant attacks on religious places. Mulayam Singh Yadav, for his part, denies that his Government received any intelligence input and in the same breath accuses the BJP of fomenting hatred. To top it all, Narendra Modi, under whom Gujarat burnt in 2002, announces cash rewards for the CRPF personnel.

Blaming the Centre and the State Government is nothing but making the most of the issue for personal ends. Protests and blame games do no good for the nation.

It is very discouraging and disheartening to see our leaders issuing whimsical statements. The terrorists are frustrated and do not want the peace efforts to succeed. By falling prey to their design, we will only expose our weakness.
