Godzilla series on the small screen

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Animax, India's first animation channel, will telecast the Godzilla series, starting this Monday. Godzilla, a blockbuster of the late 90s on the large screen and an animated series that pitted humans against a new generation of colossal monsters, is geared to set fire to the small screen.

The grand premier of the television series of the show at 6 p.m. on Monday will be followed up with the series being telecast on Mondays and Tuesdays. To add to the excitement, an on-air contest "The Great Godzilla Egg Hunt" will also be launched. Animax will also schedule promotional activities during which they will visit 40 schools in the city from June 28 to July 8. A life-sized animated Godzilla will "meet and greet" children at Bangalore Central and The Forum on Saturday and Sunday. A number of games will be organised for children at the venues.
