ANANTAPUR: The Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court on Wednesday adjourned its decision to July 11, on the petition filed by the authorities of the Sub-Jail at Reddypalli near here to move the key accused in the Parititala Ravindra murder case, G. Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, to a central prison. The DIG, Jails (Cuddapah), B. Samuel Johnson, and the Superintendent of the Sub-Jail here, Fazal Haque, explained to the Judge, A. Jayaraj, that the jail had no facility to house a high-risk accused like Suri. There was a security problem even in moving him to the court here. Besides, there was a chance that Suri's opponents might come to the jail as inmates to attack him, the jail authorities feared. In support of their claim for moving Suri to a central prison, Cherlapalli in particular, they produced video clippings of the flow of visitors to Suri at the Sub Jail here. After completion of the hearings the judge reserved his decision for July 11. Meanwhile, it is being believed that there was all likelihood of shifting Suri back to Cherlapalli. To enable accused like Suri to appear before the court through videoconferencing, the jail authorities are making arrangements to provide video link between Cherlapalli and the court here. Mr. Johnson, told newspersons here that the videoconferencing facility between Cherlapalli jail and Anantapur courts would be established in a couple of days.
