This Day That Age
The Executive Council of the Children's Film Society has decided to have two children's films produced by March 1956. The Council, which met over the weekend in New Delhi, has also decided to invite writers throughout the country to send suitable stories for the films. These stories would be selected and the Society would pay Rs.2,000 for each story. A committee has been appointed to select the stories and examine those already available for making children's films. The Council decided that films should be produced keeping in view the special requirements of the two age-groups, six to 10 years and 11 to 15 years. Another committee, consisting of Mr. M.D. Bhatt, Chairman, Central Board of Film Censors, and producer-members, Mr. B.N. Sircar, Mr. V. Shantaram and Mr. K. Subramanyam, has been set up for drawing up a panel of suitable producers.
