NEW DELHI: The condition of the former Kerala Chief Minister and CPI leader, P. K. Vasudevan Nair, who was hospitalised here after developing lung infection, remained "serious" but stable. "His blood pressure and heart beats are alright, though he is still on ventilator. His condition is stable now after it worsened on Tuesday night," the CPI leader, D. Raja, said. The 79-year-old leader, popularly known as PKV, was admitted to the AIIMS in a serious condition last week after his lung infection developed into pneumonia. His condition worsened following a block in the urinary tract after which he was put on ventilator. He also underwent dialysis for 16 hours on Tuesday night. There was no dialysis on Thursday and doctors are hoping to remove his ventilator support soon, party sources said. PTI
