MUMBAI: Indian sailing deserves more attention from government and corporates in terms of funding, reasoned the National sailing coach, Homi Motivala, on Thursday. He was speaking at a function to honour 420 class sailors Farokh Tarapore and Vikas Kapila for winning the Kiel Week Regatta's 420 class event in Germany last month. The Indian duo finished first in a competitive field of 155 sailors from 19 nations. India entered a seven-member squad at Kiel. Apart from the Tarapore-Kapila pair, the second duo of Sanjeev Chouhan and Rajesh Dhulaki finished eighth overall, the women's team of Palliva Naik and Rohini Rau pulled out after the latter suffered a severe ear infection. The International 420 class has been shortlisted for 2006 Asian Games and next Asian Sailing Championship. Special Correspondent
