Rupee tumbles
MUMBAI: The rupee tumbled to three-week closing lows of Rs. 43.64/65 a dollar on Thursday after a series of explosions in London triggered heavy dollar demand in a currency already reeling under severe pressure due to flaring global oil prices amid a robust dollar overseas.
The rupee declined by six paise from Wednesday's close of 43.58/59 following a dip to intraday lows of 43.67/68 on a knee-jerk reaction to the news that several explosions rocked London subway. PTI
