`Strike fever' grips city

A week of strikes, resignations and impoverished rain clouds. Even before the city could recover from the junior medicos' strike, came the RTC strike. And the second was more hurting than the first one. Jostling for space on crowded MMTS trains, hanging on precariously from rickety autorickshaws and seven-seaters, waiting for hours together for some sort of transport to reach offices -- the worries just kept piling on.

Though the buses were back on the roads, the strike fever in the city continued as the medicos switched back to their agitation mode. Whose is next is the talk now.
